Yes, let's address the elephant in the room: this Wrightington loves to write — and, if we're being candid, to be right. Occupational hazard.

I'm a writer, producer, and editor who somehow convinced several institutions of higher learning and one very large media company that I have it together. And honestly, I think it's starting to become true.

I grew up just outside Louisville, Kentucky, doing approximately everything at once: soccer, class officer, mock government, Girl Scouts, homecoming queen, and a quietly obsessive relationship with cartoons and fantasy novels that I kept very much off the official résumé. Avatar: The Last Airbender was formative. Studio Ghibli was earth-shattering. She-Ra and the Princesses of Power was a spiritual awakening. I will not be taking questions.

What all of that doing-everything actually taught me, beyond an impressive tolerance for a packed schedule, was how to show up for a team. Every sport, every club, every group project hammered home the same lesson: the best outcomes come from the room, not from any one person in it. I am, at my core, a collaborator. My best ideas have always come from the conversation, the spitball session, the whiteboard that gets completely out of hand. Put me in a room with good people, and I will talk your ear off until something great comes out of it. Ask anyone who's been in a writers’ room, a locker room, or an edit bay with me.

I got myself to New York City on academic and athletic scholarships, double-majored in Media Arts and English at LIU's Honors College, played four years of D1 soccer, graduated summa cum laude, and spent my off-seasons interning at a production company in Louisville and a trailer house in Manhattan. I came out the other side with a degree, a lot of opinions about story structure, strong team-player energy, and exactly zero dollars in student debt, which remains one of my proudest achievements.

For the last seven years, I've been at Paramount in Los Angeles, where I've grown from editor to Producer Editor — with a detour through interim production coordinator and editorial associate along the way, but who's counting — cutting promos, EPK, trailers, and campaigns for some of the biggest franchises on Paramount+, from Star Trek and SpongeBob to Criminal Minds, Drag Race, and Scream. In December, I finished my UCLA Extension Television Writing Certificate, a three-year program I completed entirely alongside full-time work. Because if there's one thing a lifetime of doing too much has taught me, it's that I'm most alive when I'm juggling.

I'm now taking the leap that I've been quietly building toward: writing. Two animation pilots, two half-hour specs, two hour-long pilots, and a feature script on the way this summer. I know how stories are built from the inside out, from the writers’ room to the edit bay, and I'm finally bringing both sides of that into the same room.
